Rémi Astrology
I'm Rémi. I'm an astrologer and a developer, and I build mynatal on my own, in France.
Software is my trade, and astrology has been part of my everyday life for eight years. In the end I mixed my two passions: I've built several astrology apps, mynatal among them, and I need to read the charts of my colleagues, my friends and my family.
The engine that calculates your chart on mynatal is the one I use myself when I read charts. I practice Western astrology: tropical zodiac, Placidus houses.
I'm an Aries with a Leo Moon and a Virgo rising. The Virgo rising probably explains why I care so much that every position is right.
One thing to be clear about. The readings on mynatal are calculated by the engine and written by an AI that my checks proofread: they are not written by me.
My apps
Lunation, my lunar astrology app, on iPhone and Android. Also on Android, Nadir for your horoscope and birth chart, and Astrid, your birth chart read out loud. And two sister sites of mynatal: mymatrix for the destiny matrix, mymap for astrocartography, both free to start.

How a reading is made
First, the calculation. Your chart is calculated with the Swiss Ephemeris, the reference behind professional astrology software: positions to the degree, tropical zodiac, Placidus houses. Nothing is estimated by hand.
Then, the writing. The text is written by an AI whose rule is to work only from the calculated positions of your sky.
Finally, the checking. Automatic checks I wrote verify that the signs, houses, and aspects it mentions really exist in your chart. They aren't perfect: when someone reports a mistake, I trace it back to its cause and fix the check, not just the text.
If you don't know your birth time, the reading says so, and it doesn't make up a rising sign for you.
What mynatal is not
It isn't a Sun-sign horoscope: everything starts from your birth date, time, and place.
It isn't a prediction. A reading is there to help you reflect and put words on what you're living through. It doesn't replace a doctor, a therapist, or legal or financial advice.
Your data
Your birth data is used to calculate your chart and write your readings. The database is hosted in the European Union, in Frankfurt.
The texts are written by AI models from providers that the privacy policy names one by one, along with what each of them receives.
